Payment and Cancellation Terms for Hydra’s Tactical Courses and Packages

1. Payment
The Zegal agreement confirms that you have received, verbally and/or via email or WhatsApp, full details of the course, what it entails, and the price, including your payment arrangements.
Payment of a deposit can be made via bank transfer, card payment, or cash deposit.

2. Cancellation and Cooling-off Period
Notice of cancellation must be given in the form of a letter (to our registered address) or email (info@hydrasecuritysolutions.com).
The standard 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations is void if the course start date falls within 30 days of booking. In other words, if the course starts within 30 days of your booking, the 14-day cooling-off period is not valid.

Hydra operates a threshold of 14 days from the booking date for cancellation without charges. However, if this period falls within 30 days of the course start date, the cooling-off period is void.

You will be liable for the following fees if you make a cancellation:

  • Outside of 14 days of booking date but not within 90 days of course start date – 25% of the total course fee

  • Within 90 to 30 days of course start date – 50% of the total course fee

  • Within 30 days of the course start date – 100% of the total course fee

3. Refund Policy – All Courses

  • Refunds will be processed within 10 working days.

  • Once course certificates have been issued, no refunds will be provided under any circumstances, regardless of whether the course was completed in full.

  • Issuance of certificates constitutes confirmation that the agreed training services were delivered in substantial part and confirms fulfilment of contractual obligations.

4. Course Abandonment and Early Certificate Release
In some cases, Hydra Security Solutions may, at its discretion, issue course certificates prior to full practical completion to accommodate students under exceptional circumstances. Where this is done, it is with the understanding that the candidate has fulfilled all theory requirements and has committed to completing the remaining practical components.

  • If a student fails to attend or communicate after receiving certificates, this will be considered voluntary abandonment of the course.

  • Hydra is under no obligation to provide a refund or reschedule any missed sessions once certificates have been released.

  • Issuance of certificates in such cases constitutes confirmation that the majority of the service has been delivered, and the student has entered into good faith agreement to complete the remaining elements.

  • No refund will be issued for failure to complete the course after receiving certification.

5. Rescheduling Due to Medical Reasons
If you are unable to attend due to medical reasons, you must provide a valid doctor’s note to be eligible for a reschedule without additional cost. This can be submitted any time before the course start date.
If the request is made within 30 days of the course start date, a 25% rescheduling fee will apply based on the course price.

6. General Terms and Conditions – All Courses

  • Hydra confirms the verbal agreement made with you regarding the booking, including the course price, course contents, and booking dates, in the format of a confirmation email and/or Zegal document.

  • It is the candidate’s responsibility to read all course information and requirements sent as part of the induction pack.

  • You must follow dress code requirements appropriate to the course environment.

  • You are required to provide valid identification upon arrival and sign the necessary documentation.

  • You must bring any personal equipment required to undertake the course.

  • You are required to comply with the Learner Agreement and all Hydra Security policies. Breaches of these policies may result in removal from the course.

  • If you are dismissed from the course due to misconduct or breach of policies, no refund will be given. Appeals may be submitted in line with our complaints/appeals policy.

7. Fraudulent Chargebacks
Any attempt to reverse payment for a course that has been delivered in whole or in part — including cases where certificates have already been issued — will be considered an act of fraud. Hydra Security Solutions reserves the right to pursue legal action to recover costs, damages, and any legal fees incurred in such cases.
